Colossal Oak Stereo Slide Storage Traveling Case – 9 Attachable Drawers – 10 Compartments – Holds More Than 1400* Stereo Slides & Stereo Viewer
Ingenious design! A traveling storage case to handle the biggest tasks – Home base is a handled attaché styled case with two long compartments, able to hold 320 cardboard stereo slides (160 RBT, glass mounted aluminum slides) or 160 slides and a stereo viewer (Realist or Kodak stereo slide viewer). Plus eight separate detachable attachable slide trays with sliding covers, each able to hold 160 stereo slides (80 RBT, etc. slides). Up to 4 of the covered slide trays may be attached to the main home base .
Each tray is sturdily built, solid oak with tongue and groove construction. Tray floor and covers are extra thin, oak veneered construction for strength.
This is the ultimate in storage, librarying, and traveling when quantity, safety, ease, and beauty are paramount. One can travel light with stereo viewer and 160 stereo slides, or just as conveniently, (one handed) stereo viewer and up to 800 stereo slides, and that still leaves four trays with another 640 slides safely at home.
* Slide numbers refer to single thickness mounted stereo slides(i.e. cardboard heat seal, self stick, EMDE glassless, Spicer mounts). Divide the number by two for the double thickness mounts (i.e. RBT, glass mounted, slip-in cardboard mounts)
